Corinne Joram graduated from the University of the South Pacific with a focus on Early Education. She has worked in the Department of Education for over 15 years with posts including Director of Schools and Manager of Primary Curriculum. She has also worked in the Department of the Chief Secretary as Manager for the Training and Development Unit.

She is currently Deputy Commissioner for the Nauru Electoral Commission managing outreach programs, administration and finance, operations including polling activities.

Mr. Joseph Cain was appointed on the 21st of March, 2016 as Nauru’s first Electoral Commissioner for the Republic of Nauru. He is also the Chairman for the Nauru Electoral Commission (NEC) duly established under section 4(2a) of the new Electoral Act 2016. Prior to his appointment, he was working within the Nauru government for over a decade culminating in his appointment in 2000 as a Permanent Secretary for Industry & Economic Development directly responsible to the Office of the President for Policy formulation on the Environment and Development. He has had experience coordinating and managing major government development projects & infrastructure including regional and international projects. He has also worked in the Republic of the Marshall Islands since 2004 as a high school teacher and eventually a Principal until his retirement in 2016 as the project manager on climate change for the RMI government. Mr. Cain holds a Bachelor of Education majoring in Social Sciences, Education and Development including a Diploma in Secondary Teaching from the University of Papua New Guinea.
